Keri Califano is a mom of 3 adopted kids- ages 7, 8 and 11- and she’s on the verge of 50, like it or not! Keri and her wife are currently living through the following: Keri’s recovery from brain surgery, a major home renovation, raising their kids (which entails all of the regular parenting skills AND learning how to navigate the mental health system), managing two full time careers, Keri’s awesome aging parents, and a dog and a cat. As two white moms of African American kids, Keri and her wife also confront the dynamics, interruptions, and effects of transracial adoption, racism, discrimination, microaggressions, and white privilege...all those hard and very real issues facing her family and the world. They head-on tackle these issues for and with their kids. In her work as a Real Estate agent, Keri helps her clients achieve their Real Estate goals and she’s celebrating a decade in the business this year!
